Beatriz is an MSW (Master of Social Work) student from New Mexico State University completing her practicum under this practice. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and is bilingual in English and Spanish. She understands the Hispanic culture very well. Her experience includes having worked with families in the field of prenatal and early childhood care. Beatriz has provided developmental services and resources aiding families to overcome obstacles during a crucial developmental period (ages 0-3). Beatriz has worked with the elderly as well, specifically with those suffering with Dementia and Alzheimer's. Overall, Beatriz enjoys working with children and the elderly and serving in diverse communities whose resources may not be ideal. She is looking to expand her expertise by now working with individuals, youth, and families providing psychotherapy services under this practice. We are lucky to have Beatriz as part of our team from now until May 2021.

Beatriz es una estudiante de maestría, asiste a la Universidad Estatal de Nuevo México (NMSU, por sus siglas en inglés). Beatriz obtuvo su licenciatura en Psicología y es bilingüe en inglés y español. Ella entiende y se relaciona con la cultura hispana muy bien. Su experiencia incluye haber trabajado con familias de nuestra comunidad ayudándolas durante las etapas de desarrollo 0-3, desde el embarazo hasta la edad de tres años—una etapa crucial en el desarrollo humano. Ella disfruta trabajar con niños y adultos mayores y le gusta servir en comunidades en donde no existen los recursos ideales. Ahora Beatriz busca expandir sus áreas de expetise por medio del trabajo de terapia con individuos (niños, jóvenes, adultos) y familias que llevará a cabo por medio de este consultorio. Somos muy afortunados de tener a Beatriz como parte del equipo desde ahora hasta mayo del 2021.
