Elise obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from New Mexico State University Las Cruces. She has worked in Domestic Relations, Mediation, and Child Advocacy through the Texas and New Mexico Court Systems; as a Behavioral Health Therapist for a Private Not for Profit Federally Qualified Health Center; a Counselor in a Family Services Center; and a Social Worker for the Las Cruces Public Schools. She has also served as the Social Services Director for a Short Term Rehabilitation Nursing Center and Transitional Care Unit and an MSW Social Worker for a Home Health Company. Before becoming a social worker, Elise was an Officer in the United States Navy, an Educator, and a Health Physicist. She has a broad range of experience and interests particularly in the following areas:

She has completed a PhD in Transpersonal Counseling and a Doctorate of Divinity Degree. Her approach emphasizes client empowerment, mutual development of goals for therapy, and continual evaluation of the therapeutic approach. Elise is highly invested in emphasizing a more integrative, dynamic, and holistic approach to mental, physical, and spiritual health. She is particularly concerned with the impact of loss, trauma, and evidence based interventions that support optimal emotional, physical, and relational health.
